Lori Hood Lawson

Lori Hood Lawson has spent nearly 25 years helping the fundraising sector adopt new technology to harness the power of actionable data leading to transformative insights. She recently joined Call Simulator, Inc. as the company’s Chief Experience Officer. Lori is the former Vice President of Advancement Insights for UC Innovation, for which she currently serves as an advisor to ascend AI, the product line she helped develop for UC Innovation clients. She co-founded WorkingPhilanthropy.com LLC and served as editor of several books, including Big Good: Philanthropy in the Age of Big Data & Cognitive Computing and The Nonprofit Buyer: Strategies for Success from a Nonprofit Technology Sales Veteran. She got her start in the fundraising sector at Florida State University Foundation, where she served as Associate Director of Prospect Research. She then joined Prospect Information Network (P!N) and had the opportunity to transition its flagship product, ProfileBuilder, to a SaaS CRM solution after Kintera’s acquisition of P!N. Many of her innovations, and those of her P!N team and colleagues, are still in use today. Lori is a long-time volunteer with both Apra and aasp. She is passionate about ethics and compliance, due diligence, data privacy and protection, and best practices in prospect development. You can find Lori on Twitter @workinglori. Megan Horton

Prospect Management & Research Analyst

UC San Diego

Megan has been working with UC San Diego Advancement since 2015 where she has worked with campaign operations, Corporate & Foundation Relations, and is now involved in both Prospect Research and Prospect Management. She currently serves as Chair of the Apra Ethics & Compliance Committee, and has presented at several conferences including Apra Prospect Development, AFP ICON, and CARA. Before coming to San Diego, she worked in El Salvador and Washington, D.C. where she worked in violence prevention and Latin American social justice nonprofits. Megan has a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University, and an MA in Latin American Studies from UC San Diego. 

Erin Osborn

Prospect Development Director

Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation

Erin Osborn is the Prospect Development Director at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation. She started at the Foundation in 1997, working as a coordinator in a variety of departments, including planned giving, major gifts and special events. Erin has worked in prospect research since 2001.  She is a past president of Apra-Rocky Mountains and has presented for Apra, Apra-Rocky Mountains, AFP Colorado, AHP Rockies & Southwest and other groups like Community Shares of Colorado and the Aspen Development Group.
